I was wondering today why, if God is in control, he allowed his temple in Jersusalem to be destroyed by the Romans back in 70 AD.

Then I wondered about the Greek Jews who had begun following Christ (described in Acts), and whether they had Greek translations of scripture available ... or did the early church insist that only the Hebrew versions were inspired and authentic?
